BRAND YOUR BUSINESS FOR FREE

BRAND YOURSELF UP

Branding is hard, often expensive, very difficult to get right for certain brands and often way off the mark… to help you Brand your Business, here’s 5 tips of how brand yourself for FREE - Have fun with it ☺️

TELL YOUR STORY & BE YOU

  • Put your story out there and connect with your customers. Everything starts with a story... Explain your Why, Why you started your Business; this is all part of YOUR Branding. It’s the backdrop of what fits it all together.

DON’T CREATE A DODGY LOGO

  • If you can’t afford a beautiful bespoke logo, use an amazing font - purchasing a font can just be as impressive.

Canva can be great, easy to use and you feel like you’re saving a shit load of cash - but Canva do own your logo, not you! That can be an awkward conversation later on in your business life when you have exploded all over the world and Canva want their property to be paid for…

There’s lots of Graphic Designers out there, not charging $$$$ that would be happy to provide you with a bespoke logo. Ask other businesses you know, who have they used? Get recommendations or ask for previous logos designed.

Don’t forget - we are happy to help with a Logo Design, with over 17 years of Graphic Design experience, Logos are something we have a VAST experience with, feel free to hit us up! Our packages start from £199

SAY CHEESE 🧀

  • Have a pro take some awesome headshots of you - these are your first impressions. Please, no dodgy pixelated piccies or weird selfies. You can always take a few photos of yourself in good lighting, but if you are the face of the business, perhaps a professional service, headshots are a MUST! We have worked with a wonderful Branding Photographer in the Yorkshire area - I, Stacey, had some lovely headshots with MaryAnne over at www.brandingphotographer.co.uk - Go Check her out if you’re local!

KEEP IT SIMPLE

  • Don’t over complicate, keep it simple, plain and clear. No dodgy graphics or colour palettes. I would recommend 2-3 colours maximum, ideally complementary colours or contrasting work really well. But don’t forget, your branding needs to be transferable across a website, business cards, signage and really small icons on perhaps, packaging.

CONSISTENTLY CLEAR

  • And repeat... use the same colour palette, logo and images across all your material. Get it all out there. Consistently.

    ON ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.

    Consistency is key here!
